TITLE
Data Analytics Infrastructure Engineer

SCOPE
The Infrastructure Engineer works within the team of IT engineers who perform infrastructure development, deployment, and configuration activities. These activities are supported by standards and best practices and carried out in conjunction with application teams, partners, and service providers. This individual will support Solution Architects in solution design efforts including analysis, design, and infrastructure-related applications (e.g. monitoring, scheduling, backups, etc.). In addition, the Infrastructure Engineer participates in level 2 and 3 support activities in conjunction with application teams, partners, and service providers.

DUTIES
Support provided to EDW Warehouse systems:

• Cabinet/nodes hardware, array modules, install/uninstall (decommission)
• Network configuration/support
• Service Connect configuration/support
• Sev3 Sev2 incident management, first resource contact, monitoring, resolution.
• Sev1 incident management, first resource contact, escalation, support.
• Parts management, troubleshooting, diagnostic, onsite parts replacement.
• Onsite network support.

DURATION AND POTENTIAL START DATE

• End date: December 16th, 2022
• Start Date: June 27th, 2022

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Must Have:
  • 5 + years of experience Infrastructure solution:
    • solutions using enterprise class servers
    • high availability clusters
    • virtualization technologies
    • enterprise WAN/LAN network design and security solutions, including firewalls, wireless and server management solutions
    • datacenter networking technologies
    • enterprise class storage solutions including backup and recovery
• Nice to Have:
  • Teradata Networking and vendor support

SOFT SKILLS

• Must Have:
  • Experience dealing with multiple Vendors, set priorities and address the issues to the right persons

LOCATION OF WORK
Remote for now. If he has to go on site, it can be from Ottawa or Toronto (March Rd or Meadowpines)
