Job description

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who’s excited to build, automate, and improve infrastructure in a modern cloud environment. Whether you're early in your career and eager to learn, or bringing a few years of experience, we want people who are curious, proactive, and ready to grow.

You’ll join a team of experienced engineers working across DevOps, SRE, cloud architecture, and information security. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you’ll receive mentorship and opportunities to deepen your skills in infrastructure, automation, and operations. Responsibilities and autonomy will grow alongside your capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure
• Help build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery
• Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Assist in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze system performance and build dashboards
• Participate in failure simulations and learn how to improve system reliability
• Follow and enforce security best practices, including system hardening and patching
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure meets operational needs
• Participate in incident response and learn from root cause analysis
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Stay up to date on new tools and share learnings with the team
• Contribute ideas to improve infrastructure reliability, security, and efficiency
• Engage in open, constructive feedback — we value transparency, follow-through, continuous improvement, and doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has exposure to most of the areas below and proficiency in at least a few. You don’t need to be an expert — curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn go a long way:

• Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or a similar language
• Containerization (e.g., Docker), and a desire to learn Kubernetes
• Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Security best practices and basic understanding of risk mitigation

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare)
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
• Exposure to blockchain or distributed systems
• Certifications for AWS, GCP, Terraform

The pay range for this role is:

121,000 - 192,000 CAD per year (Remote (Canada))

120,000 - 190,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
