Job description

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Solutions team in the Wealth Technology group at CI Wealth. The Data Solutions team focuses on developing data-driven solutions, driving innovation, and uncovering key insights to support strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in leveraging data to deliver solutions that enhance decision-making, streamline business processes, and support strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both data analysis and business processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze and interpret large datasets to uncover key insights that drive business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain data processes that enhance efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
  4. Document and maintain data mapping specifications and business rules to support data governance efforts.
  5. Assist in building reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to monitor key metrics and trends.
  6. Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend data-driven improvements.
  7. Respond to stakeholder inquiries and data requests in a timely and effective manner.
  8. Partner with Data Engineers to support the successful implementation of solutions.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

  1. 2+ years of work experience in quantitative analysis.

Education/Training

  1. Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  2. Solid understanding of data and data modeling.
  3. In-depth knowledge and experience with the following tools:
    1. Visualization e.g., Sigma, AWS QuickSight
    2. Modeling e.g., MS Excel
    3. Database system e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake
    4. Cloud Technology e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure
    5. Strong knowledge and understanding of SQL
    6. Working knowledge and understanding of Python.
    7. A strong analytical mindset and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills.
    8. Experience in the Financial Services Industry is an asset.
    9. Ability to work within an organization based upon continuous improvement.
