Contract Data Analyst Role - Remote Work Opportunity!Agilus is recruiting for a Data Analyst in the IT sector in Toronto, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support an ERP migration project for a leading energy client. This role will focus predominantly on data preparation, with a balance of backend technical work and client-facing interactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Python, along with excellent communication skills to effectively manage task status and gather requirements. You will:

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to support ERP migration. Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand data requirements, gather insights, and provide updates on task status. Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure alignment on data needs and migration goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and procedures. Provide clear explanations of data transformations and integrations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process
• Identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, inconsistencies, or migration challenges in a timely manner

Successful candidates will have:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, with significant experience in both SQL and Python
• Previous experience migrating to MS Dynamics environment an asset
• Proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data manipulation
• Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation

Soft skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, understanding their needs, and conveying technical information effectively
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and manage client expectations. Experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable
• Fluency in French and English is an asset, but not a hard requirement
