Job description

The Data Analyst (LookML) will play a key role at Stacktics Inc. and will be required to help create and maintain industry-leading quality and efficiency in service and data analytics delivery.

As a member of the Data Analytics team, you will be expected to meet and exceed Stacktics Inc.' quality standards while helping the organization rapidly expand its advanced analytics workflows and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the analysis of client data and formulate well-defined problem statements and recommendations for advanced analytical workflows, which are often very open-ended.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to support business decision-making using tools such as Looker.
  • Lead the implementation and management of our marketing analytics stack, including Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Build and automate reporting systems for marketing and program performance.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis to uncover trends, identify growth opportunities, and inform product or marketing strategy.
  • Drive data democratization initiatives by enabling self-service analytics across teams.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Gather, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data methodologies and workflows.
  • Identify patterns from historical data, generate and test hypotheses, and provide product owners with actionable insights.
  • Design testing processes, create and execute test cases for advanced analytical workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, with a proven track record of driving measurable impact.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python; experience in other programming languages will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL, with a strong ability to write large, dynamic analytical queries.
  • Experience with data visualization tools; Looker and LookML experience is a must.
  • Strong foundation in data engineering, data governance, and business intelligence best practices.
  • Experience working on a cloud platform (GCP preferred).
  • Deep understanding of marketing analytics platforms (GTM, GA4, GA360) and their implementation is a strong asset.
  • Interest in developing machine learning skill sets; basic knowledge and understanding of machine learning concepts is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in data engineering is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with large-scale OLAP databases and data warehouses; strong understanding of Google Cloud BigQuery is preferred.
  • Technical understanding of marketing concepts such as cookie-based data collection, audience segmentation, attribution modelling, A/B testing, and marketing KPI calculations is a plus.
  • Proven track record in uncovering insights through data exploration, pattern recognition, and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Develop creative and practical data-driven solutions by leveraging statistical analysis and predictive modeling to address business challenges. Clearly articulate findings and approaches to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Skilled in applying machine learning algorithms, forecasting methods, optimization strategies, or natural language processing to real-world use cases.
  • Driven by curiosity and a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to apply the right tools and techniques to a variety of analytical scenarios.

Compensation:

  • Salary is commensurate with experience
  • Salary band is $65,000-$88,000
