Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration : 12 Months
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (on-premises: SSIS; cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP).
Ensure data integrity, availability, and accuracy for analytics and operations.
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to meet data needs.
Optimize and improve ETL workflows and implement data governance/security.
Manage data lakes, warehouses, and cloud database solutions (SQL, NoSQL).
Perform exploratory data analysis, build dashboards (Power BI, SaaS VA), and support business decisions with data-driven insights.
Conduct statistical analysis, develop data models, and integrate service delivery improvements.
Mentor teams in analytics best practices and Agile delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
4+ years' experience as a Data Analyst/Engineer.
4+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
2+ years' experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
2+ years' experience in data marts, data warehousing, BI tools.
Hands-on ETL design and implementation experience.
Nice to Have:
1+ year experience with DevOps/CI-CD, Data Factory/API workflow tools.
1+ year experience with Python/R scripting.
Familiarity with Government of Alberta (GoA) IT infrastructure.
