Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) seeks a Dairy Sales Specialist for the New-Life Mills division to drive dairy feed sales and deliver nutrition solutions to producers. You will build long-term relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business.

You will travel to customer sites and industry events, collaborating with internal teams to meet producer needs and maintain CRM records for effective account management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to travel independently to customer sites, industry events, and company locations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Canadian ruminant industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Promote New-Life Mills programs, products, and services to meet producer needs.
• Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing customers.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, formulation, logistics, nutritionists, and veterinarians.
• Provide technical support related to feed products and usage.
• Complete ration balancing using available software in collaboration with the central nutrition team.
• Monitor account activity, address issues proactively, and support customer retention.
• Attend industry events and organize producer meetings.
• Develop sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and maintain accurate CRM documentation.

New-Life Mills: New-Life Mills has been a leader in livestock nutrition since 1964, providing feed solutions that support healthy, productive animals. With a focus on research, quality assurance, and species-specific expertise, we help farmers achieve optimal performance and profitability.

We are seeking a Dairy Sales Specialist to join our New-Life Mills team. This role is responsible for driving sales growth and building long‑term customer relationships within the dairy industry. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing customers, and delivering feed and nutrition solutions that help producers achieve their business goals.

Day to Day

• Prospect and develop new dairy feed customers to grow market share
• Promote New‑Life Mills programs, products, and services to meet producer needs
• Maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with existing customers
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, formulation, logistics, nutritionists, and veterinarians
• Provide technical support related to feed products and usage
• Complete ration balancing using available software in collaboration with the central nutrition team
• Monitor account activity, address issues proactively, and support customer retention
• Manage accounts receivable, collections, and days receivable outstanding
• Attend industry events and organize producer meetings
• Develop sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and maintain accurate CRM documentation

What You’ll Bring:

• Ability to travel independently to customer sites, industry events, and company locations.
