Job summary

New-Life Mills, a division of Parrish & Heimbecker, is seeking a Production Supervisor in Inkerman, Ontario. You will lead daily plant operations, manage staff, schedule production runs, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Plant Manager, inventory forecasting, and ongoing maintenance to uphold Feed Assure standards and company QA programs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in relevant field or equivalent employment experience.
• Availability for on call evenings and weekends depending on business needs.
• Experience in Agriculture or Food Production would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Train production staff on Health and Safety, Feed Safety, and regulations; ensure compliance with Feed Assure.
• Staff Management: Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling for efficient production staffing.
• Production Oversight: Schedule runs, monitor performance, and track deviations per QA/QC policies.
• Collaboration: Work with management on team-oriented approaches to customer service and quality; communicate regularly with the Plant Manager.
• Inventory Coordination: Monitor raw ingredient inventory and coordinate production forecasting with Dispatch and Customer Service.
• Maintenance & Quality: Prioritize repairs with maintenance teams; implement the corporate Quality Assurance program.
• Health & Safety Committee: Act as management representative, schedule meetings, inspections, and training.

Your Team

New-Life Mills: New-Life Mills has been a leader in livestock nutrition since 1964, providing feed solutions that support healthy, productive animals. With a focus on research, quality assurance, and species-specific expertise, we help farmers achieve optimal performance and profitability.

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our New-Life Mills team. The Production Supervisor will lead daily plant operations, including staffing, production scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and the timely manufacture of finished products. As a key member of the management team, you will oversee employee relations, Feed Assure™ and quality assurance programs, preventative maintenance, and all health and safety initiatives within the facility.
