Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide direction for maintenance in a large manufacturing plant. You will lead daily maintenance activities, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe operations and key targets are met.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree or equivalent trade certification.
• Five (5) or more years supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Three (3) years related experience in the Electrical & Controls and/or Mechanical field
• Experience in implementing preventative maintenance systems and managing maintenance budgets
• Strong understanding of process systems particularly in dairy or food manufacturing facilities
• Strong knowledge of process systems, high-speed packaging, and food plant experience
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, able to lead skilled trades
• Proficient with office software and timekeeping systems (e.g., UKG)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, priority setting and follow-up of maintenance activities to optimize plant performance.
• Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance.
• Provide leadership to staff with work direction and performance feedback.
• Monitor contractors and ensure compliance with facility procedures and contractual requirements.
• Ensure operations and maintenance programs are implemented effectively and inefficiencies are addressed.
• Act as liaison between Production, Maintenance, & Engineering teams to optimize resource use.
• Assist with department budget by monitoring expenditures and using SAP/CMMS.
