Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production at the plant, ensuring a safe operation, achieving targets, and driving continuous improvement across processes.

The role includes supervising teams, optimizing quality and cost, and maintaining GMP and sanitation, with a focus on safety and compliance. Weekend coverage and a night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) are required, subject to plant needs.

Qualifications

• College diploma or University degree preferably in Food Science or Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Analytical, problem solving, planning and decision making abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Support operation of the production departments/teams to meet health, safety, cost, productivity, GMP, sanitation, and scheduling targets, analyzing results and implementing corrective actions.
• Promote excellence in production activities to optimize quality, yield and cost containment.
• Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance and uphold safety rules and procedures.
• Supervise staff, provide direction, feedback and training recommendations.
• Ensure GMP and SOPs are followed and sanitation of equipment and facilities is maintained.
• Participate in budgeting, safety compliance, training and production plans; monitor results against plan.
• Participate in and manage the SAP sanitation module program and sanitation activities.
