Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production. You will lead production teams, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate sanitation and GMP/SOP adherence across shifts.

The role requires two years in food production supervision, HACCP familiarity, and strong communication skills. A shift pattern from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with weekend coverage may apply, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• College diploma or University degree preferably in Food Science or Engineering.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in food production supervision.
• Experience as a supervisor and/or leading production teams in dairy or related industry; HACCP exposure preferred.
• Supervisory responsibilities under WSIB/WCB, OSHA, and First Aid assets.
• Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, and decision making skills.
• Ability to diagnose and coordinate activities to resolve mechanical manufacturing issues in food manufacturing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production operations at the plant; ensure safety, targets, and results are met.
• Lead efforts to improve quality, yield, and cost containment; minimize re-work or downgrades.
• Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance and enforce safety programs.
• Guide staff with direction, feedback, and training recommendations; uphold collective agreements and applicable laws.
• Ensure GMP and SOPs are followed and sanitation is performed for start-ups and deliveries.
• Participate in budget development and monitoring; support corrective action plans.
• Assist in SAP sanitation module program implementation and upkeep.
