Job summary

GMS Family of Locations – Comox is seeking a Cycle Counter to perform daily and quarterly inventory counts, update product labels, and maintain accurate on-hand stock. The role requires Excel proficiency and a can-do attitude for both indoor and outdoor work in Comox, BC.

The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and efficiency, with weekend availability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of building supplies and home improvement products is an asset.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Must be available for quarterly inventory.
• Knowledge of Excel is an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as team.
• Available to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Purpose:

From performing daily inventory counts and on-hand inventory adjustments to updating product labels, the Cycle Counter is an integral part of the team. Pay range for this position is $21.50-$25.50.

The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
• Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
• Perform ongoing, rotating inventory counts of merchandise
• Ensure inventory is properly accounted for and controlled
• Complete on-hand inventory adjustments
• Updating inventory reports using Excel
• Conduct quarterly inventories
