Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. Cambridge is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist in safely transporting building materials and placing them on customer job sites.

You will communicate professionally with customers and team members, help load and unload materials, and ensure accurate, secure delivery while prioritizing safety and efficiency. This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Purpose:

The Delivery Helper assists with the safe transportation of building materials and the placement on customer job sites. Together with other team members, the Helper works to exceed customer expectations.

• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.

• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.

The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09
