Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Maple, ON is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to greet customers, take orders, and resolve questions in a fast-paced environment.

Training in building materials for the drywall industry will be provided to ensure solid product knowledge and confident service. You will handle internal and external inquiries by phone, email or in person, enter orders, maintain showroom standards, and collaborate with sales staff to meet customer needs

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to self-manage, take initiative and be proactive.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with coworkers and customers.
• Excellent computer and office equipment operation abilities.
• Comfortable working in a busy public-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers in person, by phone, or in writing in a professional manner.

Job description

Position Purpose

The customer service representative must provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Training in product knowledge of building materials for the drywall industry will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure over the phone, face-to-face and or written communications with customers representing the company’s culture, values, and practices.
• Greet customers warmly and determine problems, orders, or other reasons for calling.
• Ability to ascertain when to pass on a customer’s questions to appropriate sales staff for additional products and sales information.
• Take orders at the sales counter and or over the phone.
• Ability to use company computer systems for order entry.
• Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
• Ensure the showroom is clean and properly stocked.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to self -manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public.
• Be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
