Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in Southwestern Ontario. In this role, you will interact with our global commercial team, process customer orders, coordinate warranty claims, and provide status updates to customers.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of related experience in a technical sales environment and is skilled in communication and detail-oriented tasks. IDEX offers a competitive benefits package including health benefits and a performance-based bonus.

Job description

Position Summary

Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) are key roles in our Value Stream. This role will correspond with our global commercial team and Channel Partners, processing customer orders, providing status updates on orders, and coordinating warranty claims and material returns. CSR’s work closely with all teams in the value stream to provide superior service to our customers.

Essential Functions
  • Ensuring customer purchase orders meet compliance standards
  • Order entry and maintenance per standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating with value stream team to execute on customer orders
  • Keeping customers informed of any changes with their orders
  • Providing order acknowledgments and other required documentation to customers
  • Addressing warranty claims, coordinating Return Materials Authorizations (RMA’s) and Order Change Notices (OCN’s)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Related post‑secondary education or equivalent experience is required; a technical post‑secondary degree preferred
  • 2–4 years of related experience with a proven customer service track record in a technical sales environment
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desired
  • Customer obsession mindset and passion for technical sales
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline‑oriented environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and pivot where required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with ERP systems strongly desired; JDE experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of industrial equipment, previous experience with a manufacturing ERP system, and basic ability to read/interpret engineering drawings would be great assets to accelerate onboarding
Education

Related post‑secondary education or equivalent experience is required. A technical post‑secondary or equivalent degree is preferred.

Experience

Physical Environment and Environmental Factors

Regularly works in an office setting. Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear. Must be able to work in front of a computer for a large portion of the day. Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $48,400.00 – $72,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
