Job summary

IKO Industries is seeking a Customer Supply Chain Associate in Brampton, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer inquiries and navigating a complex supply chain system to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. The compensation ranges from $52,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications, alongside comprehensive health benefits.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Bilingual French is an asset.
  • Familiarity with JDE and Salesforce is an asset.

  • Manage orders including monitoring and updating shipping dates.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
  • Develop strong customer relationships, including travel across North America.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for timely delivery of orders.
  • Prepare customer related reports and analyze order profile.
  • Lead process improvements using structured problem-solving methodology.

Job description

The Customer Supply Chain Associate will be responsible for working with customers on a day-to-day basis and handling inquiries received from customers to ensure that products and services are delivered in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers to handle day-to-day inquiries.
  • Navigate a complex supply chain network consisting of 12 plants and 2 distribution centers.
  • Enter and verify orders for accuracy, load weight, pallet count, special considerations, etc.
  • Manage orders including monitoring and updating of shipping dates, communicating updates/changes to internal and external customers, and using comprehensive dashboard for daily actions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email and proactively communicate changes.
  • Develop strong customer relationships, which may include some travel across North America for customer/site visits for the purpose of understanding their businesses, addressing any concerns where possible and highlighting potential issues and possible solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth order process and timely delivery of orders.
  • Prepare customer related reports and analyze order profile to identify customer trends.
  • As assigned, author, edit, and approve knowledge base articles or SOPs.
  • Lead process improvements using structured problem-solving methodology (Lean Six Sigma).
Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to contact customers over the phone and build long-term customer centric relationships.
  • Ability to problem solve and "think outside the box."
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of emails and orders.
  • Strong/proven analytical skills.
  • Practical experience with detail-oriented order entry, and detail-oriented research, face-to-face customer interactions.
  • College or University degree/diploma in Business Administration or Operations/Inventory Control/Logistics/Supply Chain preferred.
  • Prior experience with customer facing corporate supply chain roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Bilingual French is an asset.
  • Familiarity with JDE and Salesforce is an asset.
