Mercor is recruiting Senior Domain Experts as independent contractors working on research projects with leading AI labs. These projects involve using your professional experience to design questions related to your professional domain. We are extending offers across a broad range of domains (see list below) but are specifically looking for individuals who have:

• 4+ years full-time work experience in their field;
• Concrete evidence of being an above-average performer (such as a history of receiving promotions or awards);
• Hired (or trained) others in their professional domain

More details about the role include:

• Primarily seeking U.S., U.K., and Canada-based applicants, but top talent from other countries will be considered;
• The hourly compensation is competitive and varies based on professional background and location (note: the listed scale is for U.S. applicants and differs by region);
• You will interface directly with prominent AI researchers from top AI companies;
• The work is fully asynchronous and flexible around your schedule;
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week;
• Duration of approximately 3-4 weeks after starting the project.

  Regarding pay and legal status:

  • We can meet industry-standard compensation expectations;
  • Payments are made weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged hours;
  • You will be classified as an “at-will” contractor;
  • We currently cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates.
