Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a customer service associate for a busy retail postal outlet.

You will provide prompt, friendly service, operate the register, scan items, and ensure accurate cash handling, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum participation. You will keep the checkout area neat and organized, greet customers, assist with receipts and returns, and support merchandising, loss prevention, and adherence to store policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and engages with customers.
• Keeps checkout area neat and organized.
• Greets customers with a warm demeanor.
• Accurately scans or enters product data.
• Accurately accounts for cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum.
• Requests PC Optimum card at each transaction.
• Documents customer receipts and returns as required.
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas with facing, signing and labeling.
• Supports loss prevention and controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
• Maintains proper uniform image and policy compliance.
• Performs other duties as required.
