Job summary

The Michaels Stores Winnipeg location seeks a Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, champion a high-performing selling culture, and drive sales results with strong customer experience. You will coach staff, manage POS systems, and ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards.

Responsibilities include MOD coverage, loyalty program promotion, and oversight of ballons, framing, and delivery options, with focus on asset protection and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations in a busy store.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and customer support.
• Oversee Balloons, birthday party ops, and in-store programs/events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and repeat visits.
• Champion MCC/Extend services and protection plans adoption.
• Drive sales and ops excellence in Knit & Sew Shop, including Cut Bar oversight.
• Ensure efficient BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations and coordination with the frame shop.
• Train and develop team through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink and maintain safety.
