Job summary

PAL Airlines in St. Johns, NL seeks a Full-Time Customer Care & Reservations Specialist to support travel agencies, maintain etickets, and handle GDS-based reservations.

You will quote fares, book flights, and communicate flight details to customers, while assisting interline and codeshare bookings. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in customer service and a basic knowledge of GDS systems, with experience in travel and tourism preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary schooling completed is required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of technical support experience preferred.
• Experience in Travel and Tourism is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel Agency Support: assisting travel agencies with reservation and ticketing support.
• Eticket Database Maintenance: daily maintenance, processing coupons and etickets, ETL queue.
• GDS reject Queue Maintenance: daily on-time processing of the GDS reject queue.
• Tier 2 Ticketing Support: assist station CSRs with reservation and ticketing for GDS, Interline and Codeshare.
• Reservations Agent duties: quote fares, book flights, provide flight information, and respond to inquiries.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent Customer Care & Reservations Specialistto join our team in St. John's, NL.

Job Duties:

• Travel Agency Support. Assisting travel agencies with reservation and ticketing support
• Eticket Database Maintenance
  • Daily maintenance of our eticket database
  • Processing open coupons
  • Processing exception etickets
  • Daily processing of the eticket ETL error queue
• GDS reject Queue Maintenance
  • Daily on-time processing of the GDS reject queue
• Tier 2 Ticketing Support
  • Assisting PAL Airline station CSR’s with reservation and ticketing support of GDS, Interline and Codeshare bookings
  • Assisting Other Airline Partner helpdesks with reservation and ticketing support of FIM/Interline/Codeshare Bookings
• Reservations Agent duties as required
  • Quote fares and book flights for customers;
  • Provide customers with necessary information connected with flights;
  • Communicate with customers to determine individual needs;
  • Must make use of excellent communication and sales skills;
  • Respond to cargo inquires providing freight quotes, fares, reservations, revenue reporting, sales reporting, lost and damage bag reporting, and answering phones;
  • When necessary, identify and implement solutions to meet evolving industry and customer needs;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary schooling in a related field is required
• 1+ years of customer service experience is required
• 1+ years of technical support experience is preferred
• Experience in Travel and Tourism is preferred
