Job summary

Snow Valley Ski Club in Edmonton is seeking a dedicated custodian to provide a clean and safe atmosphere across its facilities. You will operate cleaning equipment, maintain bathrooms and staff areas, and help prepare spaces for events.

This role requires stamina, the ability to work with little supervision, and a positive attitude when interacting with guests and team members. Shifts include weeknights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a custodial or similar role is an asset.
• Previous experience in a customer service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment and conduct custodial tasks across Snow Valley facilities.
• Maintain a high level of cleaning standards throughout the property, including bathrooms and staff areas.
• Follow sanitation, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude and friendly contact with guests and team members.
• Clean designated areas before and after events.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by Food Services Management or General Manager.
• Understand and follow Snow Valley policies; suggest improvements as needed.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Operatecleaning equipment and conduct custodial tasks throughout Snow Valleybuildings and facilities.
• Maintaina high level of cleaning standards throughout the entire propertyincluding bathrooms, staff areas and grounds outside the building.
• Followall sanitation, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Maintaina positive attitude and friendly contact with Snow Valley team members andguests.
• Cleandesignated areas prior to and after special events.
• Performother responsibilities when required as directed by the Food ServicesManagement team or General Manager.
• Understandand function within all Snow Valley policies and procedures. Makesuggestions to improve the work processes and policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves working on weeknights, weekendsand holidays.

One will spend long periods of time on their feet in awarm and noisy kitchen and will work in a standing position for long periods oftime. May lift, carry, push or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds on afrequent basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be a self-starter and be comfortable workingindependently and in a team environment. Previous experience in a similarrole is an asset. Previous experience in a customer service environment ispreferred.
