Job summary

Snow Valley Ski Club in Canada is seeking a full‑time lift operator to assist guests with safe loading and unloading and to ensure safe, efficient operation of our lifts. You will provide friendly, on‑site guest service and help guests enjoy their ride.

This seasonal outdoor role requires standing for long periods, working weekends and holidays, and adhering to all safety procedures. Training is provided on the job, with emphasis on safety, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• There are no standard educational requirements for this seasonal and full-time position.
• Most training is completed on the job.
• Those who possess post-secondary education have a greater opportunity to advance to a supervisory level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a constant flow of guests through the liftline while operating your assigned lift safely and efficiently.
• Provide guests and staff with courteous, friendly service; maintain eye contact and assist with loading as needed.
• Handle inquiries and complaints professionally, keeping supervisors informed of guest-related problems.
• Adhere to safety procedures; perform daily lift start checks and complete lift logs and incident reports.
• Perform daily housekeeping for lift huts and keep ramps, maze areas, tools, and signs clean and professional.
• Notify Supervisor of unsafe conditions or irregularities and request needed tools or attention.
• Strive continually to improve safety, service, and job satisfaction.
• Maintain a safe, uncluttered, litter-free environment.
• Be aware of events to help direct guests and staff for promotions or group bookings.
• Know the products and services Snow Valley offers to maintain guest service standards.
• Act responsibly and adhere to Snow Valley policies.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by Operations Management.

POSITION SUMMARY - This is a Full Time Position

Assist guests in the safe loading and unloading of SnowValley’s ski lifts, while ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment.Provide excellent customer service by interacting with all lift passengers.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• 1. Maintain a constant flow of guests through the liftline while operating your assigned lift safely & efficiently.
• 2. Provide guests and staff with courteous and friendlyservice. Maintain eye contact, answer questions and give physical assistancewith loading when needed.
• 3. Handle all inquiries & complaints in aprofessional & competent manner applying a win-win attitude. KeepSupervisors informed of guest related problems.
• 4. Adhere to operational and safety procedures. Performdaily lift start checks and complete daily lift log and incident reports. Keepaccurate paperwork and checklists.
• 5. Perform daily housekeeping duties for the lift huts,establish & maintain ramps, maze area, tools & signs to maintaincleanliness, tidiness & a professional image to our guests.
• 6. Notify Supervisor of any unsafe conditions, unusualoccurrences or irregularities that occur during daily operation. InformSupervisor if work areas need tools, equipment or any special attention.
• 7. Strive to continually improve in safety, service andjob satisfaction.
• 8. Generally provide a safe, uncluttered, litter-freeenvironment.
• 9. Be aware of promotional & special events, schoolbookings, corporate & group functions in order to help direct guests &staff for these events.
• 10. Be knowledgeable on the products & services thatSnow Valley offers to maintain our Guest Service standards.
• 11. Act in a responsible manner while representing SnowValley, abide by, and adhere to the policies.
• 12. Perform other responsibilities when required asdirected by the Operations Management team.

• Maylift items weighing up to 34 pounds occasionally, may carry, push or pull itemsweighing up to 24 pounds on an occasional basis.
