University of Ottawa is seeking teaching assistants for CHM1321 Organic Chemistry I at Main Campus. You will support Laboratory sessions, assist students, and help with grading and safety compliance to ensure productive lab experiences.
The role requires solid knowledge in general and organic chemistry, WHMIS and OH&S training, with availability for Monday lab meetings as scheduled. This CUPE position targets the Winter 2026 semester at the main campus.

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)
Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

LABORATORY - Assisting students in and out of the laboratory, marking laboratory reports, Implementation of Safety Guidelines in the Laboratory
Candidate must have 1 full year of general chemistry, 1 full year of organic chemistry, CHM 2120/2123, or their equivalents All those who are not a Chemistry graduate student will be required to write a test to qualify.( Unless already previously done.) Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
