University of Ottawa is seeking multiple teaching assistants for the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. Responsibilities include lab supervision, grading, and guiding students during laboratory sessions.
Positions are for the CHM2330 Introduction to Structure and Bonding course, with in-person delivery on the Main Campus. Applicants must have completed required chemistry coursework and training, and will be paid hourly rates for a January–April term.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

Nature of Work: Assisting students in and out of the laboratory, Marking laboratory reports, giving tutorial and preparing them. Proctor final exam
Candidate must have 1 full year of general chemistry, 1 full year of organic chemistry and CHM 3140, CHM 3371 or their equivalents. All those who are not Chemistry Graduate student will be required to write a test to qualify. (Unless already previously done.) Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
