Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking ten tutors for Organic Chemistry I (CHM1321) at the Main Campus for the 2027 Winter Semester. The positions offer hourly rates: undergraduate $33.83, graduate $53.31, with 80 total work hours from January 1 to April 30, 2027.

These CUPE Corrector roles support the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences, Students & Casuals unit. Applicants must have completed CHM1321 or equivalent, WHMIS and OH&S training, and will work in person under supervisor Michael

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidate must have 1 full year of general chemistry, 1 full year of organic chemistry, CHM 2120/2123 or their equivalents.
• All those who are not a Chemistry graduate student will be required to write a test to qualify. (Unless already done in previous semester.)
• Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
