Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking an undergraduate/graduate student to serve as a Corrector (CUPE) at the Main Campus in the Department of Biology, Students & Casuals. The role includes research, preparation, and grading support with supervision of tasks as needed.

Eight positions are available for a start in January 2027 and end in April 2027. Undergraduate wage is lower than graduate wage; work is in person on site at the main campus.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of BIO2135 or course equivalent(s).
  • WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety (SST) workshops completion.

Responsibilities

  • Research: support ongoing biology projects.
  • Preparation: assist with materials and setup for experiments.
  • Contact with students: assist and supervise as needed.
  • Grading: assist with grading and assessment tasks.
  • Proctoring: oversee exams and assessments on campus.
  • Training: participate in training related to the role.
  • Other: perform any additional duties as assigned.
