Job summary

RED Mountain Resort BC is hiring a Receiver for the 2026/27 Winter Season. The role supports the culinary team by receiving, inspecting, and organizing all incoming food and beverage items, maintaining FIFO, and ensuring safety and quality.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with up to 75 lb lifts. Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of commercial kitchen experience (warehouse, restaurant, hotel, or resort experience preferred).
• Basic understanding of commercial kitchen operations.
• Strong organizational, cleanliness, and time management skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to respond to changing business volumes.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to communicate effectively with all F&B team members.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working indoors predominantly, with occasional outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize all incoming food and beverage items, ensuring accuracy, quality, and cleanliness.
• Place items in proper storage and maintain correct FIFO rotation.
• Prepare and ship products safely to other outlets as needed.
• Inspect deliveries for damage, temperature issues, and report concerns management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, workspaces, and storage areas according to RED and Interior Health standards.
• Monitor and document health and safety requirements, including cleaning schedules, vehicle inspections, and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate operational changes or challenges to Culinary and FOH management.
• Support the culinary team with inventory management, monthly counts, and daily operations.
• Uphold food safety standards, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times.
