Job summary

Appletree Medical Group in Ottawa is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a progressive, multi-disciplinary team. No prior medical experience is required; the role suits recent graduates or students seeking hands-on healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background (retail, fast food or similar).
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal/written/reading).
• Demonstrated reliability, commitment and flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and manage reception, appointments, and payments.
• Prepare patients for clinical appointments and perform triage.
• Apply scripts, scenarios and clinical protocols.
• Use EMR Advantage accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory by daily stocking of exam rooms and clinic areas.
• Keep exam rooms, foyers and washrooms clean and safe.
