Job summary

This role requires cross-border awareness and collaboration with HR and Finance to support multi-entity payroll operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Canadian payroll experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. payroll practices, including federal payroll tax obligations (FICA, FUTA).
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, including payroll processing, reporting, and system administration across multiple company codes.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation including CRA requirements and provincial employment standards.
  • Experience with multi-company or multi-entity payroll environments.

Responsibilities

  • Processes full-cycle payroll for all Canadian employees across multiple Lithion entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CRA and provincial laws.
  • Reviews payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, leaves of absence, overtime, and other earnings and deductions.
  • Administers CPP, CPP2, EI, and provincial tax withholdings and files ROEs via Service Canada.
  • Coordinates W-2 preparation and year-end payroll reconciliation for U.S. entities.
  • Builds and runs payroll reports within ADP Workforce Now for HR, Finance, and operations.
