Job summary

• Ontario College of Nurses registration is required for practice.
• 3 years of recent Critical Care experience.
• Critical Care Certificate is required.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (or willingness to obtain within one year).
• Demonstrates critical thinking and effective emergency response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Strong leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuing education and safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critically ill adults (and occasionally children) during the acute phase.
• Promote health and assess/provide essential treatment using supportive, therapeutic approaches.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy and other teams.
• Participate in staff meetings and unit projects; maintain professional development.
