Job summary

Brightshores in Owen Sound, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Critical Care department to care for critically ill adults (and occasionally children) during the acute phase to restore and maintain function.

The ideal candidate holds Ontario RN registration, 3 years of CC experience, CC Certificate, BCLS/ACLS, and PALS or willingness to obtain within one year. A strong safety focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ontario College of Nurses registration.
• 3 years of recent Critical Care experience.
• Critical Care Certificate.
• Current BCLS.
• Current ACLS.
• Current PALS or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and effective emergency response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with patients and staff.
• Leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and attendance.
• Participation in staff meetings and unit projects as required.
• Compliance with safety policies and patient safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critically ill adults during the acute phase and occasionally to children.
• Collaborate with the critical care team to promote health and functional recovery.
