Location: In-Office, Downtown Dartmouth, BOYNECLARKE LLP.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, attentive, and adaptable individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Creditor Practice team focused on financial recovery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making outbound calls, negotiating settlements, and handling challenging conversations with borrowers, balancing persistence with empathy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contact customers via phone, email, and other channels to collect overdue payments.
  2. Negotiate payment plans and settlements to resolve debts.
  3. Accurately document all customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  4. Follow up to ensure compliance with agreed arrangements.
  5. Provide excellent customer service in line with policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with team members to improve collection strategies.
  7. Support reporting requirements for clients and lawyers.
  8. Achieve weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications
  1. Experience in customer service, especially with difficult customers; financial industry experience is a plus.
  2. Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills, with patience and empathy.
  3. Goal-oriented, critical thinker, problem solver, and team player with a positive attitude.
  4. Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, and quick learner of new software.
