Company Description

The NSHPCA, founded in 1994, is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to advancing the philosophy and principles of palliative care. Our mission is to achieve comfort and peace for individuals throughout Nova Scotia who are living with or dying from a life-threatening illness. The Association promotes palliative care through networking, public and professional education, advocacy, and research. Over the years, we have collaborated closely with healthcare partners and supported grief and emotional wellness programs, remaining committed to providing comfort and peace to Nova Scotians facing serious illnesses.

Role Description

This volunteer position is for a Board Treasurer and can be located anywhere in Nova Scotia. The Treasurer is a board officer responsible for overseeing the financial matters of NSHPCA, ensuring legal compliance, providing strategic financial leadership, and collaborating with staff responsible for financial operations.

Qualifications
