Job description

We like to shake things up and do things our own way. At Opus, integrity isn't just a buzzword -it's the cornerstone of who we are. Challenging the status quo has not only helped us to evolve but also allowed us to continue to be independently owned while expanding across seven countries. We've carved out our own path to success, which is all about teamwork and curiosity. We love to question everything and try new things. And it seems our employees agree on our approach - we've earned the Great Place to Work certification in Canada, Philippines, Mauritius, Ireland, and the USA. We're on the lookout for people who share our beliefs and are as passionate about our values as we are.

This Opportunity :

Our clients need bank accounts to manage their funds effectively. These accounts are necessary to receive investment contributions from investors, disburse funds for investor withdrawals, and to cover operational costs. For new clients, ensuring the timely opening of these accounts is crucial to successfully launch their fund. At any time, our team is responsible for opening 50+ accounts and maintaining approximately 700 bank accounts. The team handles billions of dollars and processes 10,000+ wires annually.

You will be the primary interface between our clients and their third-party banking relationships. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Oversee the opening of bank accounts through proper completion of documentation and coordination of supporting information to meet their “know your client” obligations.
  • Manage communications with internal teams and external clients and banks in relation to account set up, closure or user maintenance queries or requests.
  • Ensure internal and external requests and queries are dealt with on a timely basis, managing expectations accordingly.
  • Manage all user permission requirements for Opus staff and clients with relevant third-party banks.
  • Complete all requests to add, amend or delete users at the banks, and ensure these are completed and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Promptly escalate any issues or delays to the appropriate audience.
  • Update Opus software applications with new users or account records ensuring alignment with third-party banks at all times.
  • Completion of Ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

A Little Bit About You

  • You have very strong organizational skills.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
