About This Role

We are in search of a driven, attentive, and adaptable individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our Creditor Practice team conducting financial recovery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting outbound calls daily, negotiating settlements and expertly navigating challenging conversations with borrowers. To be successful in this position you will have a balance of persistence and empathy in your communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact customers via phone, email, and other avenues to collect overdue payments.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve outstanding debts.
  • Document all customer interactions and payment arrangements accurately.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure arrangements are upheld.
  • Provide excellent customer service while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share best practices and develop strategies for improving collection efforts.
  • Support client and lawyer reporting requirements.
  • Meet weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Customer service experience with a proven track record of effectively handling difficult or challenging customers. Financial industry and experience with inbound/outbound calls considered an asset.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail time management, and communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service, including patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Mindset: Goal-oriented, critical thinker, problem solver, and team player with a positive attitude excited to contribute to a collaborative culture.
  • Tech Proficiency: Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.
