The Job

As the Credit and Collections Manager, you will lead the credit function, oversee accounts receivable, and manage a team of professionals. You will play an integral role in maintaining strong cash flow and customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing credit risk and advising on customer applications
  • Creating and implementing strategies to improve collections and reduce receivables
  • Leading negotiations for overdue accounts and resolving disputes in a timely manner
  • Monitoring credit operations, reporting on performance, and recommending improvements
  • Developing and mentoring a skilled collections team to meet departmental goals
  • Contributing to company-wide policies and initiatives at the leadership level
What You Bring to the Job
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit and collections, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Familiarity with accounting and ERP systems (AS400 experience is an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • A positive, team-focused mindset with a drive to achieve results
  • Industry experience in distribution, wholesale, or plumbing is considered an advantage
