Performs ongoing comprehensive client credit analysis for an assigned number of client portfolios to assess the business entity’s overall financial health and credit risk using discretionary authority within prescribed limits. Applies lending expertise to a lending product portfolio or part of the lending process (e.g., underwriting, funding, monitoring). Makes credit decisions or provides timely advice to the business banking relationship manager for action in compliance with internal controls and audit, regulatory, and Bank policies and procedures.

- As a funding specialist, facilitates the funding process, ensuring legal documentation reflects approvals, terms and conditions are met, and proper execution of documents prior to funding; assesses security or condition shortfalls, credit, and fraud risks.
- Analyzes lending applications to identify, correct, and make credit decisions or advise on deficiencies in accordance with sound credit principles; recommends remedies to maintain asset and credit quality.
- Confirms security valuations and completes credit applications for approval in line with bank policies.
- Develops risk profiles, structures credit proposals, and conducts credit investigations.
- Responds to inquiries and resolves issues from audits and quality checks, documenting lending decisions.
- Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
- Integrates information from multiple sources to improve process efficiency, analysis, and reporting.
- Designs and produces reports and dashboards; monitors performance and addresses issues.
- Follows security and safeguarding procedures, applying due diligence to prevent loss from fraud, theft, or other risks.
- Adheres to lending processes, policies, legal, regulatory, audit, and ethical standards.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Identifies risks and takes appropriate actions, including documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Liaises with clients and departments to discuss issues, procedures, and provide support.
- Focuses primarily on business/group within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide scope.
- Works independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.

Qualifications:
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Advanced understanding of business banking products, lending processes, credit policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and bank policies.
- Strong knowledge of credit qualification, adjudication standards, policies, and procedures.

$54,500.00 - $101,500.00
