Job summary

Union Latinos in Vancouver is seeking a skilled, energetic bartender to join our Front of House team. You will craft cocktails, pour beer and wine, and deliver friendly, professional service in a lively Colombian-inspired setting.

You should know our cocktail menu, handle busy periods with composure, follow safety standards, check IDs, and work well with servers and kitchen staff. Availability for evenings, weekends, and late nights is required. Serving It Right certification is required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Serving It Right certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain strong knowledge of our cocktail menu, spirits, beers and other beverages.
• Make recommendations and answer guest questions about drinks.
• Provide friendly, attentive and professional service to guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized and properly stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Handle cash and payments accurately when required.
• Check identification and follow all responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff and management.
• Handle guest requests and concerns professionally.
• Follow all restaurant, health, safety and liquor service standards.
• Work efficiently and maintain quality during busy service periods.
