Job summary

Union Latinos in Vancouver is seeking a server to help create a memorable guest experience. You will showcase our traditional Colombian offerings and energize service with friendly, attentive care.

Requirements include previous serving experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and a team-focused, professional attitude. Availability for evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts is a plus, and Canada work eligibility with a SIN and Serving It Right are required.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays (if needed).
• Availability for late-night shifts, including Fridays and Saturdays until approximately 3:00 AM, is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, with a valid SIN number.
• Serving It Right certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Have a strong knowledge of our menu, drinks and daily specials.
• Make recommendations and answer guest questions about menu items.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Check in with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism.
• Process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service areas.
• Communicate effectively with Front and Back of House teams.
• Follow all restaurant, food safety and service standards.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
