Job summary

Government of Alberta is seeking an Administrative Support 4 for the High Prairie Courthouse. The role supports court operations, processes financial transactions, and maintains confidential records while ensuring timely service within Alberta’s justice system.

The position is temporary (18 months), full-time (36.25 hours/week), Monday to Friday, located in High Prairie. Successful candidates will pass CRC checks and may be placed in a talent pool for future opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma and at least two years of related administrative experience.
  • Equivalencies considered based on 1 year of experience for 1 year of education or 1 year of education for 1 year of experience.
  • Knowledge of the Judicial System and relevant acts is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for court operations and manage court documents.
  • Enter, search, update, and retrieve information in court management systems with high accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries with professionalism from the public, legal professionals, and internal staff.
  • Refer complex matters to appropriate judicial staff or supervisor.
  • Handle reception and public counter duties, including answering inquiries and managing mail.
