Job summary

Purolator is seeking a Courier Utility to perform daily pickup and delivery of customer packages in Rokeby, SK, under a temporary contract. The role requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license and English communication with stakeholders. The job features 40 guaranteed hours per week and a variable schedule based on need.

The worker will inspect vehicles, scan packages, and coordinate with Dispatch to resolve issues on the road. Hourly wage is set by the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School.
• Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract to drive delivery vehicles.
• Vocational and business courses commonly taught at high school level.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).
• When inspections fail, the Courier advises the unit manager.

Description

The Utility Courier picks up and delivers customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules and resolves problems as they arise. Job covers other absent couriers that may be on any work shift.

Working Hours: 40Weekly hours (guaranteed)

Scheduled Shift: Varies, dependent upon need, open availability required

Employment Contract: Temporary

Hourly Wage- $21.84as per the collective agreement
