Job summary

ECCO Supply is seeking a hands-on Counter Sales Rep at our Terrace branch to serve customers, process orders, and support warehouse operations. You will help ensure accurate inventory handling, provide product information, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will work to maintain safety, organize stock, and collaborate with sales teams to promote products and ensure excellent customer service. The role combines sales and operations in a dynamic, growth-focused company.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, counter sales, warehouse, or order desk experience preferred.
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical warehouse duties.
• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email with product information, quotes, and order entry.
• Accurately process customer orders from entry to fulfillment, including invoices and shipping paperwork.
• Pick, pack, and ship orders; receive and organize inventory; maintain stock locations.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the warehouse, yard, and counter area; comply with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with branch sales teams to support day-to-day operations and customer experience.

Job description

The Counter Sales Rep is a hands-on role, responsible for serving customers, processing orders, and supporting warehouse operations. As a key member of our Terrace branch, you will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring inventory is received, organized, and shipped accurately. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop both sales and operational skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties:

• Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO's customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Supply
• Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
• Read and comply with ECCO's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Read and comply with ECCO's Human Resources Policies and Procedures
• Assist in the success of ECCO's Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work
• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers in person, by phone, and email, providing product information, quotes, order entry, and resolving inquiries professionally.
• Accurately process customer orders from order entry through fulfillment, ensuring invoices, quotes, shipping paperwork, and customer records are completed correctly.
• Pick, pack, ship, receive, and organize inventory to ensure customer orders are handled accurately and on time.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials safely using appropriate material handling equipment, including forklifts, while maintaining compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock replenishment, cycle counts, annual inventory counts, and ensuring products are stored in the correct locations.
• Support branch sales growth by identifying customer needs, recommending products, promoting special offers, and collaborating with inside and outside sales teams.
• Keep the warehouse, yard, counter area, and customer-facing spaces clean, organized, safe, and professional at all times.
• Work collaboratively with branch team members to support day-to-day operations and contribute to the overall success of the branch and customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous customer service, counter sales, warehouse, or order desk experience preferred.
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical warehouse duties.
• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to customer service and safety.
• Experience in HVAC, construction, industrial distribution, or related industries is an asset.
