Job Description And Responsibilities

• Identify and sell vehicle parts to customers.
• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Inventory vehicles that are being sold to Buck’s Auto Parts and catalogue them in the Point‑of‑Sale system.
• Mark vehicles with their assigned stock numbers.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any procedural abnormalities.
• Keep the work area clean. This includes the parts office, shared office spaces, and the parking lot.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent.
• No experience necessary, but previous work experience in retail or a similar scrap yard/auto part environment will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of automotive components is an asset.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, moderate to heavy lifting, and pushing and pulling.
• Computer‑literate with intermediate skill level for Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic math skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, and over mobile radio devices.
• Polite and friendly with a customer service orientation.
• Strong work ethic, uses time efficiently.
• Able to work with minimal supervision/general oversight.
• Strong attention to detail with a keen knack for accuracy when inputting data.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Hours of Operations in the Summer: 8 AM to 6:30 PM (4 shifts per week, 3 days off).
• Hours of Operations in the Winter: 9 AM to 5:30 PM (5 shifts per week, 2 days off).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work (remote location, not accessible by bus).
