For the Cost Analyst Co-Op position, we are looking for a candidate that is interested in large capital resource construction projects with a focus on engineering, construction, cost, and schedule. Through this placement, the student will develop an understanding of working in a professional environment and gain exposure to Teck’s Projects group delivery strategy and how it is applied and implemented within Teck’s operations.
Reporting to the Manager, Cost Control, the Co-Op student will implement project accounting methods and procedures, and maintain cost control systems on Teck’s Red Dog projects (RDM004 Aktigiruq & Anarraaq Extension Program, RDM015 Aktigiruq & Anarraaq Access Road, HVC004 Highland Valley Copper Mine Life Extension). They will also facilitate contractor invoice review, approval, and payment, work with various project delivery departments including engineering, construction, project management, and assist with various tasks that are an integral part of this process
If you are not currently located in the area of this co-op position, you must be willing to either commute or relocate to the surrounding area for the entire duration of the co-op term. You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
