Job summary

Mainroad Group in Alberta is seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to oversee the HSQE program across Alberta and Cranbrook, BC. The role is office/field-based, based out of Calgary, Red Deer, Ponoka, or Camrose, with travel to operations throughout the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety.
• Minimum five years in a management role, leading safety professionals.
• Professional designation such as NCSO, CRSP, or CHSC.
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining corporate safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and industry best practices.
• Ability to travel regularly within Alberta and British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HSQE Management System and ISO standards (ISO45001:2018, ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015).
• Lead and mentor Safety Advisors (5+), driving safety culture and performance.
• Coordinate COR internal safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and Safety Alerts.
• Liaise with regulators, OHS and WCB; ensure regulatory compliance.
