Placements24 is seeking a Corporate Governance Counsel to join our client’s team in a fully remote capacity. You will advise the board of directors and senior management on governance best practices, statutory compliance, and risk management across all operations.

You will develop policies, oversee filings, train directors, and ensure ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability while supporting strategic direction from a flexible, independent work environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate law, with a significant focus on corporate governance and compliance.
• Deep understanding of the King IV Code of Corporate Governance and Companies Act.
• Experience advising boards and senior management on governance matters.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting.
