Base pay range

CA$70,000.00/yr - CA$80,000.00/yr

About the Opportunity

• Accurately maintain the general ledgers of real estate investment funds and holdings entities, including consolidation and intercompany accounts
• Perform key accounting and control functions including preparation of bank and investment reconciliations, coding of invoices and preparing and analyzing weekly treasury reports
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports and updates to investors and other internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare financial statement packages, including reviewing and analyzing various reports
• Prepare working papers and compliance filings for various taxation authorities (HST, payroll withholding, corporate tax, etc.)
• Assist in coordinating the annual audit, including liaising with external auditors, and researching accounting policies and standards
• Provide support and assistance with various other special projects as required

About You

• A university degree and with at least 1 to 3 years of practical work experience in month-end reporting and financial statement preparation
• Enrolled in the CPA program
• Proficient with standard accounting software (Concur, Sage, Advent Geneva, Yardi, etc.)
• Highly detail-oriented and analytical, able to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
