Job summary

Air Liquide in Sherwood Park, Alberta is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance of vehicles at the distribution center, coordinate with mechanics and drivers, manage parts inventory, and ensure safe, orderly operations.

You will plan preventive maintenance, order parts, maintain equipment records in MIR/Oracle, support safety initiatives, and help improve cross-functional processes across the terminal.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills in SAP; familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Purchase Ordering/Supply Chain systems.
  • Experience in parts background is preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
  • Good decision-making and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of maintenance of vehicles in the distribution center in accordance with internal customer requirements, budget, schedules and managers' requests.
  • Coordinate with Inventory and Purchasing within the allocated budget.
  • Work with mechanics and drivers to ensure maintenance items are purchased and parts inventory is controlled.
  • Maintain the equipment parts room in a clean and orderly fashion per warehouse procedures.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure proper identification and re-supply needs.
  • Process incoming parts shipments and organize storage.
  • Coordinate work orders with mechanics.
  • Keep equipment availability records up-to-date and aligned with maintenance needs.
  • Manage month-end closure in MIR and Oracle software.
  • Plan and control maintenance activities; manage preventive maintenance system with cost factors and deadlines.
  • Assist coordination of maintenance and repair schedules for distribution vehicles.
  • Order parts and equipment for the fleet of trailers.
  • Maintain the building and property; ensure security of the facility.
  • Prepare reports on ISO objectives and cost center analyses; manage supplier accounts.
  • Create requisitions and manage supplier accounts.
  • Track warranty and insurance claims for equipment and parts.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and emergency response planning for the terminal.
  • Support Terminal Manager and assistant fleet maintenance manager on safety functions.
  • Continuously improve processes with cross-functional teams.

Job description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


  • Provide oversight of all activities related to the maintenance of vehicles in the distribution center in accordance with internal customer requirements, operating budget, schedules and requests issued by managers.

  • Coordinate with Inventory and Purchasing with the allocated budget.

  • Working closely with the mechanics and drivers ensuring that all Maintenance Items are purchased along with controlling the inventory of parts needed to support our preventive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain the equipment parts room in a clean and orderly fashion and in accordance with standard accepted warehouse procedures.

  • Conduct periodic inventory counts of parts room items to ensure proper identification and re-supply needs.

  • Process incoming parts shipments and organize their storage.

  • Coordinate work orders with the mechanics.

  • Keep equipment availability records up-to-date, depending on the maintenance required.

  • Responsible for the month end closure in the MIR and Oracle software.

  • Plan and control maintenance activities: operate and administer preventive maintenance system, taking into account cost factors and deadlines.

  • Assist in the coordination of the maintenance and repair schedules for the distribution vehicles.

  • Order parts and equipment needed to operate the fleet of trailers.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the building and property.

  • Ensure the security of the property by maintaining fences, electrical gates, building access, etc.

  • Follow up administratively: prepare certain reports concerning the follow-up of ISO objectives and the analysis of accounts (cost center, department costs, account chart).

  • Purchase spare parts for maintenance.

  • Create requisitions and manage supplier accounts.

  • Control inventory.

  • Reconcile work orders with hours worked, verify expense accounts and close all work orders of mechanics in MIR.

  • Track and apply warranty and insurance claims (equipment and parts).

  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and emergency response planning for the terminal.

  • Support Terminal Manager and assistant fleet maintenance manager in all safety functions at the facility.

  • Improve processes: work in cooperation with his/her team and cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes, analyze activities, identify causes for problems and propose corrective measures.


Are you a MATCH?


  • Strong Computers Skills within SAP , Google Sheets/Excel will be an asset

  • Knowledge of Purchase Ordering/Supply Chain systems

  • Experience in parts background is preferred

  • Must be able to maintain a safe, reasonably clean and organized work environment

  • Good Decision-making skills & Planning skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic within a Team

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
