Job summary

Air Liquide Canada is seeking a delivery driver to provide safe and efficient pick-up and delivery of gases and welding supplies. You will load and unload trucks, plan daily routes, and ensure proper handling of cylinders at all times.

Requirements include a valid class 3 license with air brakes, a clean driving abstract, and at least 2 years in the delivery field with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift and TDG certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid class 3 license with air Brakes and a clean driver's abstract.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the delivery industry.
• Customer service experience.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gases and welding supplies.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure proper loading of cylinders.
• Drive to required sites and plan routes based on dispatched items.
• Maintain truck and equipment for safety and appearance.

The main objective and purpose of this position consist in providing safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gases, while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives. Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and/or welding supplies. Picks up empty cylinders as required. Loads and unloads trucks with other team members and ensures trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations. Pick your own load of cylinders, plan out your day based on items dispatched for you, drive to required sites, pick up empties then offload trucks upon return. Ensures that maintenance and general appearance of the truck and all equipment used in the performance of his/her duties are properly maintained.
