Job summary

Messer is a leading industrial and medical gas company with 125+ years of expertise. We are seeking an Area Support Coordinator to assist Retail projects, manage inventory, and support branch staff across Canada.

You will train staff, handle payables and PO entry, and help roll out regional strategies while ensuring safety and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in administration preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management and/or inside sales in an industrial environment.
• DZ licence required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cylinder and hard goods inventory.
• Support branch manager with payables and PO creation in Coupa.
• Train and support Messer Agent users.
• Manage on-site cylinder inventories at Messer agents.
• Assist inventory control and back orders when regional manager unavailable.
• Provide SAP training and process knowledge to staff.
• Support rollout of retail strategies and KPIs.
• Coordinate branch inventory counts for hardgoods and gas.
• Fill in for vacancies and provide vacation relief.
• Coach new branch managers and inside sales staff.
• Support regional special projects and safety leadership.

Purpose:

The Area Support Coordinator provides support whererequiredandassistsand leads various Retail projects and initiatives.

Whatyou’lldo :

• Help in coordinating cylinder and hard goods inventory.
• Support the branch manager whenrequiredwith payables, adding PO’s in Coupa.
• Training and supporting agents with Messer Agent
• Customer on site cylinder inventory, including at Messer agents
• Support manager whererequiredfor inventory control and back orders especially as branch manager whererequiredwhen the regional area coordinator is not available.
• Support and provide training on SAP, business process, procedures and product knowledge to all branch staff – both existing and new employees
• Assistin the execution and rollout of retail strategies and objectives
• Support in delivering and executing on regional KPI’s at all locations
• Coordinate,assistand support in retail branch inventory counts for both hardgoods and gas
• Ensure the continuity of the business, by filling in for vacancies (Management and staff) and vacation relief at branch locations asrequired.
• Assistand support with customer cylinder audits asrequired.
• Support and coach new branch managers asrequired
• Coaching new inside sales and drivers as required.
• Support the region in special projects asrequired
• Leader in Safety

What it takes:

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in administration(Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of management and/or inside sales in an industrial environment
• DZ licence required
